Pattern Review: M7505 + 2nd times a charm

This is the final product after I worked out all the bugs of the wearable muslin.  I really like the fit of this dress.  I adjusted the waist as it was a little too loose on my body type and I didn't account for the increase to the sleeve in the flounce so it's a little tight, but I still love it.  The hem is not straight, sort of wavy and the polyester didn't press as good as I liked, but overall I'm very happy with this sew.

Pattern Description: Semi-fitted through the bust dresses have back zipper, French darts and long trumpet sleeves. B: Lace overlay. I made view A.

Pattern Sizing: 16-22 I cut 22

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Love the swing at the hem, And the sleeve flounce.

Fabric Used: Blouse weight poly crepe from Fabric Mart and Jetset for the lining

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did a 1" FBA, the waist and hem had plenty of ease but I graded to a 24 at the hip and hem but I took it out after basting to get a closer fit, but not as close as the muslin.  I would say I could have cut a 22 with 3/8" seam allowance.  The dress is super short so I added about 5" to the hem and it hit my 5'9" frame above the knee. I did a 1.5" bicep adjustment. Instead of the hook and eye closure I stitched the top of the keyhole on the back closed since it was loose enough to go over my head. I may just omit the key hole opening in the back. I did a 3/4" wide shoulder adjustment engthen my normal 2" on the sleeve

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I love this dress, very flattering I can see this sleeveless for spring.

Conclusion: I love this dress and will make again, an easy sew and good for beginners.
