Pattern Review: M6558 + floral off the shoulder dress

Hi Friends! Well, yes, I jumped on the off the shoulder bandwagon! I didn't know how I would like this style on me since, well, I don't have the shapeliest shoulders, but I love it. This is my wearable muslin and I will be making some of the other views or this view in a African print ( ughh, can't get off this bandwagon of African prints!) I found this vintage leather belt in a consignment shop and it really set's the dress off.

Pattern Description: Pullover tops and dresses have elasticized neck/raised (seamed) waist and narrow hem. A, B, E: Strapless. B: Applied hem ruffle. A, C: Purchased trim. C, D: One shoulder sleeve (wrong side may show). D: Side slits and purchased trim for shoulder strap. 1 Hour Top or Dress Sewing machine time only.   I sewed View B (modified)

Pattern Sizing: 18w-24W,  I sewed the 22W

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, with a modification to the skirt.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that I didn't have to do any adjustments. The elastic makes for a quick, flattering project. I also like all the variation possibilities as well as the different fabrics you can use with this pattern.

Fabric Used: I used a Linen/Poly Blend from Hancock's fabric.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made a slight alteration to the skirt construction, I left off the bottom gathered piece required for view B, that was too much fabric and I love it without it.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, this was my wearable muslin and I plan to make another view with some fancy fabric.

Conclusion: Super cute pattern that is versatile and great for beginners.
