Pattern Sizing:

18w-24W  I cut the 22w

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I like the ease of the pattern, it comes together quickly.  I also like how much design ease is built it, it makes for a garment with a good drape.

Fabric Used:

ITY knit from Hancock's fabric

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

I didn't use the belt since I don't like belts over elastic.
I like that you have a sleeve option, I made view c with the sleeves from view b
I added 1.5 inches to the sleeve
I added five inches at the lengthen shorten line of the pants
I pegged the leg at the bottom

Would you sew it again?

Yes, it was an easy sew and looks good on.  I would do more bodice fitting in the future and maybe sew it with a nice print.

Would you recommend it to others?

Yes, this is a good pattern to try, easy enough for beginners and flattering.

Cost:

Pattern: $1.50
Fabric: I used a little under 4 yards @ $4.99 per yard. $18.00
Notions: Elastic- $2.00

Total: $21.50

4 hours with serging

 Conclusion:

Give this one a try, you won't be disappointed.  It's a cute jumpsuit with pockets and minimal fittings. Good for beginners.

  1. This is so cute! You've converted our "I don't wear pants" girl over here to, "well, I think a jumpsuit would be nice!"

  2. I am busy making the dress. The illustrations for sewing the skirt have confused the heck out of me. I think I finally get the instructions on attaching the pockets. The skirt has a fake front that befuddled me. Also the bodice is not form fitting. I am going to get help on making sure it fits before I attach the bodice to the skirt.
