Pattern Review: S1072 + patterned knit skirt

Don't love when your projects look like you did a lot of work?  I do, but I have to admit, it's all in the print.  It's nice to have a fitted lined skirt, but it's also nice to operate with an elastic waist!  I know right, who would have thought that an elastic waist could look so chic?  This is my TNT knit skirt pattern and i'm happy I discovered it.  There are so many things you can do with this so have fun.

Pattern Description:

Misses' Easy to Sew knit pants, skirt and top. Dress up a simple sweatshirt with contrasting fabric in sequins or add jewels or studs. Pair this top with a simple knit skirt or pants for a casual everyday office look.  I made view B

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Yes, very easy instructions.  There are only two pattern pieces so it goes quickly!  I machine basted the skirt and then serged everything after I did my fitting.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

I graded the waist to a size 20 and kept the hip at 24

I didn't use the elastic waist guide, I just fed the elastic through and pinned until It was comfortable and then cut my elastic.

Next time I will lengthen by 2 inch below the hip and peg slightly.

Would you sew it again?

Yes, this is my TNT knit skirt pattern.  Any double knit, ponte or "stable knit would work, I'm sure a jersey would be ok too.  This is a go to for me, for a casual skirt or work it's a winner.

Would you recommend it to others?

Yes, easy pattern, great for beginners and a good wardrobe builder.
